Scholarships

Medical school aspirants who have applied to medical schools for their medical degrees beginning in 2024 are eligible to apply and the award is contingent upon successful admission to a US Medical School. The program will cover the cost of tuition and living for the new medical school student starting their medical degree (MD) in 2024. Applicants with MS/Ph.D. degrees are strongly encouraged to apply.

Eligible students should possess strong academic and extracurricular credentials. They should exhibit a strong inclination toward medicine, research, teaching, and clinical practice while demonstrating a high sense of social responsibility and a selfless desire to help others by volunteering.

Above all, the passion for serving fellow human beings is definitely required.

Our program is seeking students who are primed to make monumental achievements in the field of medicine and possess a sincere drive for helping the community. The students must be enthusiastic about advancing science and make consistent progress in achieving their objectives. Through both academic and nonacademic endeavors, they enrich themselves and also bring goodness to the lives of other people.

As endorsed by the AAMC, the 15 Core Competencies for entering medical schools (which fall into four categories: interpersonal, intrapersonal, thinking and reading, and science) outline the attributes required to achieve success in medical school or other fields of endeavor.

These factors can be demonstrated through:

• Academic Records (Transcripts)
• Statement of Purpose
  • Motivation for becoming a physician
  • How you plan to contribute to society by going to medical school
  • Life experiences: Who are you? What’s your story?
• Extracurricular activities such as research, community service, and clinical experience
• Volunteer activities and how many hours in each
• Professional experiences such as any relevant clinical experiences, and shadowing
• Employments
• Life goals and visions for the future
• Passions and hobbies
• Interview

The program application will open on November 15, 2023. The deadline to apply will be January 1, 2024, through our online application system (MyFMD). Early submission of the application is encouraged.
